Perils & Princesses Update Version 1.2
Perils & Princesses Version 1.2:
Mishap table updates, new character sheets, and other clarifications and fixes.
Version 1.2 of Perils & Princesses is the first moderately-significant update to the game. Previous versions are fully-compatible and the core mechanics have not changed at all.
Biggest Update: Mishap Tables
Previously, the "1s" entry for all of the mishap tables was some kind of fizzle. Essentially if you rolled double ones, the effect just didn't happen. While initially this seemed like an obvious choice for a mishap, after playing and GMing this game for a few years, it was clear that this design decision went against the core tenants of the game. "Nothing happens" is rarely an interesting choice and for a fail-forward system like P&P, rolling 1s hindered the game in a not-fun way.
The 1s entry for each Gift has been updated to reflect moments that are setbacks, but ones that are fun to role play and offer interesting character moments. Furthermore, the entry for Wild Magic on the kitchen magic Gift and the Magic Mishaps table has been revised to cause a random spell *In addition* to your intended effect rather than in lieu of. This keeps the Special Abilities from Gifts from falling flat in a not fun way, and keeps mishaps as interesting developmental moments.
New Character Sheets
Character sheets have had a significant face lift. The "deluxe" sheets from Sweet Revenge were so well-received they've been adapted to the core game. These sheets are two-sided with one side featuring lots of room for personality, fairy godmother background and role-play notes. The other side has all the core information needed for game play, including a few additional rules annotations.
Additional Heart Dice and Gift Dice slots have been added as well since Healing Touch begins with an extra HD and Hats & Cloaks can give an extra GD as well.
Text-Only Version
In the interest of accessibility, a text-only version has been added.
Clarification on Heart Dice
Clarifying language was added to the rules of Heart Dice.
"As many players as can feasibly help may contribute a Heart Die on the same roll, but each person can only contribute one die per roll."
This has always been the intended use of Heart Dice, but now it's made explicit.
Wound Table Consistency
The first entry on the wounded table on page 52 did not match the quick reverence on the cover. This has been fixed so that they both match what was previously only on the quick reference.
"Hurt, but becoming battle-hardened. Once healed, your max HP increases by one.
Other Fixes
General cleanup of type and layout errors, as well as formatting changes for consistency.
WHEW! Getting this all together has been a lot of work for P&P, but I'm excited to keep this game growing as more and more folks join in.

Will this version be uploaded to the Backerkit page for those who crowdfunded the game?
Yes! I wanted to put it out here first to make sure no issues came up with the files, but I will be rolling it out to backerkit, drive thru, retailers, and everywhere else over the next few days.
