The Sweet Escape

Perhaps your map is out of date. Or maybe you just made a wrong turn somewhere. Regardless of the reason the effect is the same: you’re lost. You don’t want the sweet treats you’re delivering to get stale before you arrive at your destination and, even worse, it’s starting to get dark. The only sign of civilization within the marsh is the enormous tower that's steadily been coming into view for the past hour but it’s not on your map and something about it seems…off.

The Sweet Escape is a short adventure designed for a party of 2–5 level 2 PCs. It invites players to stealthily explore a witch’s tower to stage a daring rescue before the witch returns and they find themselves in need of rescue as well. 

- Rescue a clutch of phoenix hatchlings from a witch's tower filled with candy-coated traps, fairy tale perils and monstrous adversaries. 

- Tangle with the Witch's candy creations: Candy constructs, a trio of rising Doughboys, and a white chocolate raven named Ghost.

- 20 digest-sized pages brought to life with location map and monster illustrations.

- Designed specifically for Perils & Princesses, but easily adaptable to other NSR / OSR systems. 

- This adventure takes place twenty years before the events of the upcoming Sweet Revenge campaign but it can easily be played as a standalone or slotted into an existing adventure.

Coming to Kickstarter in July, Sweet Revenge builds upon the foundation of the core Perils & Princesses book to create a world full of pretty and gritty encounters for your table. 

Your party will explore the haunts of the Tanglewood—facing off against candy-cursed monstrosities, parlaying with the Pixie queen, brushing elbows with the Fae Court, and unraveling the mysteries of Dulcinea, the Witch whose curse has left the village of Deerhollow in quite the sticky situation.
